Ferry to Dunkirk. Cycled through France to Belgium to Netherlands. And back again.
Photos taken on my phone along the way. My own artistic pilgrimage, in the vein of other artists exploring JOURNEY such as Tacita Dean, Tris Vonna Mitchell and Veronique Chance. It was the first time I had taken a journey like this, relying entirely on myself to transport my body across borders.
Transgressing borders: at some point cycling along this river we crossed the border from Belgium into the Netherlands. This seemed so strange in particular in relation to the current refugee crisis.
